Our Vision
Strong, Confident and Vibrant Regions
Our vision is strong and diverse Mid West and Gascoyne regions with enhanced identity, prosperity and quality of life.
Regional Development Australia (RDA) Mid West and Gascoyne is a not-for-profit, incorporated organisation governed by a Board and funded by the Australian Government, through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
RDAs are an important part of the Government’s vision for a strong and connected regional Australia through the implementation of the Regional Investment Framework (RIF) which will guide a more coordinated approach to regional development, underpinned by local engagement.
We aim to work with community and industry members, businesses and all levels of government to find local solutions to local issues in the Mid West and Gascoyne regions of WA. We can generate ideas and strategies to move forward by bringing people together.
Our key functions include the following:
consultation and community engagement;
contribute to regional planning and regional development and community initiatives;
promote whole-of-Government programs, policies and initiatives; and
establish partnerships and cooperative alliances.
Regional Development Australia Mid West and Gascoyne is one of the nine Western Australian and 52 Regional Development Australia offices nationwide.
